Nanouk Leopold filmed succesfull novel It's all so quiet.
13-12-11At the end of February 2012 the shooting of the film It’s all so quiet (Boven is het stil) will start in Zeeland. This is the new film of Nanouk Leopold. Leopold herself wrote the script, based on award-winning and internationally acclaimed novel Boven is het stil by Gerbrand Bakker. The cast of the film conclude Jeroen Willems, Henri Garcin, Wim Opbrouck, Lies Visschedijk, Loes Wouterson and Martijn Lakemeier.
It’s all so quiet is produced by Isabella Films and Circe Films in coproduction with the VPRO and COIN Film in Germany. Stienette Bosklopper and Els Vandevorst are the producers. Nanouk Leopold with her earlier films had success at the festivals of Berlin, Cannes and Toronto. Brownian Movement had on the last Dutch Film Festival six nominations and won two Golden Calves: for Best Director and Best Screenplay. At It’s all so quiet is an experienced team involved: the Belgian Frank van den Eeden, the Director of Photography, the production designer Elsie de Bruijn and the editor Katharina Wartena.
It’s all so quiet is distributed by Cinéart and is expected to appear in theaters in February 2013. The film is supported by the Dutch Film Fund, VPRO, CoBO Fund, Filmstiftung NRW and MEDIA Slate Funding. The world rights are with Film Distribution.
